How NetDue works, where people stay in control, and what is included before you request access.

01

Using NetDue

Access, workflows, responses and responsible recovery.

What should I expect from pre launch demo access?
For controlled pre launch evaluations, demo mode uses fictional customers, invoices, activity and simulated Outbox records. Accounting connections and actions outside NetDue remain unavailable. Public sign up stays closed while NetDue completes further safeguards for stale records and repeatable journey checks. If an invited evaluator sees a record that appears live or an action that should be disabled, they should report it before continuing.
How do accounting connections work?
Once a customer has authorised it, a provider connection can import accounting records into an active workspace. In demo mode, NetDue does not contact Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, and connection controls stay locked until activation. Provider data can be delayed or incomplete, so a sync status does not certify that the ledger is correct.
How are emails and SMS delivered?
Demo messages are simulations and never leave NetDue. In an active workspace, approved messages are passed to the configured email or SMS providers. A queued message or a message accepted by the provider is not proof that the recipient received it. The available delivery detail depends on the status reported by that provider.
Can a debtor respond to an invoice without creating an account?
Yes. In an active workspace, a debtor can use the secure, invoice specific response link included in an approved reminder to submit a dispute, complaint or proposed payment arrangement without signing in. The link is time limited, can be used once, and may be revoked by the creditor. An unavailable link gives a generic response; the debtor should contact the creditor directly if they still need to respond.
What happens when a debtor submits a response?
An open or under review dispute, complaint or payment proposal pauses chasing and formal recovery for that invoice. The creditor reviews the response in NetDue and records an outcome. A payment proposal is not binding and does not change accounting records until an authorised creditor expressly accepts it. Even after a response is accepted, declined or resolved, chasing stays paused until the creditor makes a separate authorised decision to resume it.
What do the statutory calculations show?
The statutory calculator gives an illustrative calculation of late payment compensation and interest for qualifying business to business (B2B) commercial invoices. These statutory amounts are not for consumer or business to consumer (B2C) debts. The calculator does not decide whether a debt qualifies, whether a different contract rate applies or whether a claim is legally valid. Check the source records and obtain professional advice where needed.
How does escalation from reminders to an LBA work?
NetDue guides creditors through reminders, any service freeze step, debtor response review, an LBA recommendation and a waiting period. LBA preparation and delivery are separate: an authorised creditor must review the current preview and explicitly confirm it before dispatch. A later court or MCOL pack is a separate, controlled step and NetDue never starts court action automatically.
Does NetDue send LBAs or file court claims for me?
NetDue can prepare and, after the required creditor confirmation, deliver a Letter Before Action draft with supporting calculation evidence for an eligible supported commercial route. Disputed, ambiguous or otherwise ineligible matters are held for review rather than forced through. Court related material stays locked behind the relevant legal review control. NetDue is software, not a law firm, debt collector, legal representative or court filing service, and it does not promise enforceability or recovery.
How do direct BACS payments work?
Approved bank details belonging to the creditor and a payment reference can be shown on recovery material, so the debtor pays the creditor directly. NetDue does not receive, hold, route, settle or escrow debtor funds and is not a payment institution. Creditors must verify their instructions before use.
How do the demo, trial and activation fit together?
Public sign up and activation are not yet open. In controlled pre launch access, an invited evaluator starts in demo mode and can be given a separate onboarding workspace without intentionally copying demo records. Live accounting connections and actions outside NetDue remain unavailable until activation. Any trial period, price and billing date must be shown before a paid subscription starts.
How does the NetDue referral credit work?
Share your NetDue referral link with a new business. The new business must complete its normal 30 day trial. Both businesses receive one month of subscription credit after the new business's first NetDue subscription invoice is paid successfully. Credits are non cash, apply to NetDue subscription billing only, and do not affect debtor payments or creditor BACS instructions. Referral credits do not stack with the pre launch free period or other promotional credits. Self referrals, duplicate workspaces, cancelled or unpaid trials, refunds, chargebacks and payment disputes do not qualify. An issued credit can be reversed after a refund or payment dispute. The referral credit is capped at six credited months per referrer while this offer is available.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancellation and renewal terms are shown in the billing flow and will be governed by the final Terms of Service. Cancelling a subscription does not itself erase workspace data; deletion is a separate verified process. The public terms are still a pre launch operational draft, so final notice periods and effective dates must be confirmed before public onboarding opens.
How is data handled?
Live customer data is kept within the authorised workspace and used to operate the service and its configured providers. The Privacy Notice is intentionally marked as a pre launch draft: operator identity, final contacts, the retention schedule, subprocessor details and safeguards for international transfers must be completed and reviewed before public onboarding.
How do I get support?
For product, account or billing questions, email hello@netdue.co.uk. NetDue support can explain how the software works, but it does not provide legal advice or decide whether a debt should be pursued.
